Most large energy users currently purchase electricity or gas from national utilities, and then have to invest in equipment that converts the raw energy into useful forms. This traditional approach does not always produce the most economic long-term result. We offer a single contract combining operational and capital expenditure, offering you best value energy over the asset lifetime.

Under an availability-based contract, you transfer the risk of owning and operating infrastructure to MITIE, and pay only for the energy created and actually used. These contracts offer predictable costs and the output can be matched to your specific requirements, such as guaranteed heating or cooling parameters, or data centre uptime.

In a performance-based contract, MITIE guarantees that your infrastructure will achieve defined outputs in terms of cost, carbon savings or other measures. MITIE will usually fund the investment and recoup it through a unitary charge, with improved efficiencies often partly or fully covering the capital cost.
